Newly developed GNSS LNA NJG1187

NJG1187 is a low-noise amplifier (LNA) with industry-leading level of high gain, low noise figure (NF: Noise Figure) and applied to GNSS.
In recent years, there is an increasing demand for high-precision positioning in response to autonomous driving. Therefore, it can receive signals in the 1.5GHz frequency band (1559-1610MHz) as well as multi-mode signals in the 1.1-1.2GHz frequency bands (1164~1300MHz). Multi-GNSS responds to the increasing demand. This product can adjust the corresponding frequency by replacing the external integrated circuit, and achieves high gain and low NF characteristics in each frequency band from 1.1 to 1.5 GHz.
 In addition, this product can be equipped with a filter between the two LNAs. This connection structure can reduce the impact on the important index parameter NF that measures the receiving sensitivity and achieve high attenuation characteristics.
 This product can be applied to various applications such as vehicle antennas and GNSS modules.
Features
■ High gain and low NF characteristics are realized in each frequency band of GNSS
 The corresponding frequency can be adjusted by replacing the external integrated circuit, achieving a high gain of more than 30dB and a low NF characteristic of 0.6dB in each frequency band from 1.1 to 1.5GHz. This product is used in Multi-GNSS that requires high-precision positioning, and contributes to improving the receiving sensitivity of the GNSS receiver and shortening the positioning time.
 
 
 
■ Improve the freedom of circuit design
 The integration of the primary and secondary LNAs is done outside the package, so a filter can be placed between the two LNAs (Figure 2). Compared with the configuration of filters in the front stage of NJG1187, it can more effectively reduce the impact on NF.
 Combined with the required characteristics, the circuit configuration can be changed flexibly.
