summary
In the automotive market in recent years, with the popularization of various applications such as in-vehicle computer systems and GNSS, wireless communication applications are increasing. As a result, the requirements for automotive specifications and reduction of the mounting area of in-vehicle electronic products are getting higher and higher.
In GNSS applications, the GNSS signals transmitted by satellites are relatively weak. In order to improve the receiving sensitivity, filters are needed to eliminate interference electromagnetic waves from various communication devices, and then LNAs are used to amplify GNSS signals. Therefore, GNSS modules are required to save space, and the requirements for module products are getting higher and higher.
In order to meet these requirements, we developed this vehicle-level GNSS RF front-end module NJG1159PHH-A.
NJG1159PHH-A uses SAW filters to eliminate interference electromagnetic waves, and uses low noise figure (NF: Noise Figure) LNA to amplify GNSS signals, so the receiving sensitivity is improved. A small and thin package is also used to reduce the mounting area. This product complies with the AEC-Q100 automotive electronics certification standard and also complies with the quality management system audit VDA6.3 of the German Automobile Industry Association (VDA). And, as required, it can also respond to the production part approval process (PPAP).

Features
■Improved GNSS signal receiving sensitivity
A SAW filter with low loss and high out-of-band suppression characteristics installed in the front section can eliminate interference electromagnetic waves.
The LNA with low noise figure (NF: Noise Figure) characteristics installed in the rear section can amplify GNSS signals.
Because the SAW filter with low loss and high out-of-band suppression characteristics and the LNA with low NF characteristics are installed, the weak GNSS signal transmitted from the satellite will not be hidden in the interfering electromagnetic waves and can be amplified with low noise. Contributed to improving the receiving sensitivity and positioning accuracy of GNSS signals and positioning time.

■High reliability, small package
Products corresponding to automotive electronic specifications generally have a package size of 3.0 x 3.0 mm even if it is a single SAW filter. This product is a combination of SAW filter and LNA, and adopts a highly reliable and small air-tight package with a size of only 1.5 x 1.1 mm, which is beneficial to reduce the mounting area.

■Car electronic specifications
Comply with AEC-Q100 level 2 and VDA6.3 standards, and can also deal with the production part approval process (PPAP).
