NJM2555 is an IC for 622.08MHz voltage controlled quartz crystal oscillator (VCXO) used in optical fiber telecommunication systems. It uses New JRC's excellent bipolar technology, including an oscillator amplifier, a varicap diode, a quadruple (×4) frequency circuit, a high-pass filter and a limiting amplifier. NJM2555 is connected with a 155.52MHz oscillator and LC filter to generate 4 times the frequency equivalent to the differential LVPECL output. The recommended input oscillator frequency is 120 to 160MHz. Based on an excellent oscillation circuit, it has good jitter characteristics and high phase noise suppression. This product can be applied to optical communications, especially WDM systems.
