Generally, the ultraviolet light generated by the ultraviolet lamp or detected by the detection instrument is UVA and UVB.
The principle of ultraviolet light meter detection is to select specific photosensitive elements to make receiving elements according to the specific wavelength of ultraviolet light. When the light receiver is irradiated by ultraviolet light, the light signal is converted into electrical signal, and the light signal is amplified and transmitted. The signal or digital signal is displayed.

Water treatment is divided into treatment objects, which include wastewater treatment, urban water supply treatment, drinking water treatment, pure water treatment, and water treatment in farms; in principle, there are disinfection, sterilization, photodegradation, and other photochemicals. Reaction: From the method of using the ultraviolet germicidal lamp, there are directly putting the lamp into the water, which is called the immersion type; the ultraviolet lamp is put into the sleeve and used, which is called the overflow type.
Ultraviolet germicidal lamp mainly uses its sterilization function in water treatment. For example, the working principle of over-flow equipment is as follows: a certain flow rate of water generated by a water pump flows through the periphery of a quartz sleeve that can penetrate ultraviolet, and the ultraviolet lamp produces 254nm Ultraviolet rays disinfect and sterilize water. Its characteristic is that the water flow velocity is very fast, generally the time to flow through the quartz jacket is no more than 1 second, so the ultraviolet intensity of the germicidal lamp is required to be very high, and the surface intensity is generally required to exceed 30,000uw/cm2. To produce such high ultraviolet intensity, a high-intensity and high-power ultraviolet germicidal lamp must be selected. If you still want to increase the disinfection effect by extending the time, you generally choose a longer lamp, make a longer device, or treat it into a vortex rotating structure on the stainless steel outer wall to extend the time of water flowing.
For high-end products, the over-current disinfection method must not only be equipped with a more complicated structure; there are also complicated control systems, such as ultraviolet intensity monitoring system, water temperature monitoring system, disinfection time accumulation, ultraviolet lamp monitoring, fault alarm, automatic sound and light alarm, etc. system. In addition, the flow-through equipment also has requirements on the environment and treatment objects, such as water temperature and water transparency have a great influence on the disinfection effect. When the UV germicidal lamp is working, the best surface temperature is 40℃, and the temperature is too high or too low will affect the UV output effect; the worse the transparency of water, the easier the UV is absorbed, and the lower the utilization rate.

Compared with the overflow type, the submerged type has a simple structure. The ultraviolet germicidal lamp is placed directly in the water. This method can be used for flowing dynamic water or static water. This treatment method should pay attention to the possibility that the lamp tube may break due to accidents; long-term processing, the surface of the lamp tube will be covered by pollutants such as algae in the water, which will seriously affect the ultraviolet light.

Here is a recommended UV sensor that can be used in UV disinfection lamps, that is, the imported UV photodiode-SG01D-C18, SiC has extremely special advantages, can withstand high-intensity radiation, and is almost insensitive to visible light. The dark current generated is low and the response speed is fast. These characteristics make SiC a good material that can suppress visible light for making semiconductor ultraviolet detectors. SiC detectors can work at temperatures up to 170°C for a long time, have low temperature coefficient (<0.1%/K) and low noise, and can effectively monitor very low radiation intensity (corresponding amplifiers are required).

Characteristics of UV photodiode SG01D-C18:

1. Use silicon carbide (SiC) material

2. Only applicable to UVC band

3. The photosensitive area area is 0.5mm2

4. 10uW/cm2 peak radiant intensity to produce about 6nA current

5. High chip stability (passed German PTB certification)

6. German DVGW certification
